Rider Check-In:
Friday, September 12 at 5:00-8:00 pm in the Bishop City Park with a pasta dinner at 6:00 pm prepare and served by the Bishop Chamber of Commerce.
Saturday, September 13 (for the Sunday double only) in the lobby of the La Quinta Inn from 5:00-8:00 pm.
Start/Finish:
Two mass starts at the host hotel for the Double Double Century on Saturday and Sunday.
The start time is 5:15 am start time is for all riders. Only Highland riders expecting to take longer than 14 hours may opt to start at 4:00 am. Please respect the start time rules, as challenging as this course is to ride the logistics are equally as challenging. Riders starting at 4:00 am and finishing under 14 hours will be DQ.
Riders must be at the Start-Line for Roll-Call 10 minutes before the start of the event.
Riders must roll call at the start and check-in at finish to receive an official time.
If you are driving to the start please come early enough to find a place to legally park.
Time Limits:
This is a timed bike ride. Riders can only begin riding at the official start times, and they must reach all three checkpoints before the following time cut-offs regardless of their start time to receive credit for completing the event.
10:00 am. at Schulman Grove checkpoint (Highland course only)
4:30 pm at Coaldale Junction checkpoint
11:00 pm at the finish line in Bishop
REGISTRATION INCLUDES
•Your entry fee into the event.
•Pre-ride pasta dinner prepared and serve by the Bishop Chamber of Commerce.
•Official NdZONE follow vehicles equipped with highly visible lighting package (auxiliary flashing lights, slow moving sign, and reflective tape) for the rider support during the dark hours both am/pm.
•An entrance fee paid on your behalf for the Bristlecone National Park.
•7 well supported aid stations and 3 water stops to help you enjoy the magical of the White Mountain Double Double. Shulman Water Stop @ 10,000 ft elevation, Westguard Pass station you'll like so well you'll stop twice there, Gilbert Pass Station, lunch at the park, Crain's Water Stop, then of course the famous "Smoothie Station", Hwy 6 Water Stop, Basalt Station, and Benton Station.
•Stations will have water, Hammer Heed, Perpetuem, Endurolytes and Gel, an assortment of fresh fruit to energy bars, and freshly made P,B&Js, and sodas. Lunch at the Dyer Park: sandwiches, fruit, chips, and sodas.
•OH! Lets not forget that nice ice cold smoothie, when you need it most with a bit of NdZONE magic poured into it. :-)
•Continuous roving SAG through out the event.
•Clearly written route sheet with turns, distances, opening & closing station times, and an emergency number.
•Course with very little traffic, turns, and smooth roads.
• Results and Download pics of the event on this website.
•Food and drinks at the Finish Line.
•White Mountain Double Century finishers competing in the Ultra Marathon Cycling Association's Ultra Cycling Cup competition will receive the appropriate credit for this event. If you are not a UMCA member and want credit for completing in the Ultracycling Cup, you must become a member before the event. UMCA Membership #'s are required to be entered in the comments section on WMDC's registration form to be eligible for credit.
